Revue Live at the Fillmore East 1970 / Ten Years After:Sorti tel Robin des Bois de la forêt de Nottingham en 1967, Ten Years After a accédé à une notoriété planétaire après sa prestation enflammée à Woodstock au cours du mythique mois d'août 1969. Une prestation qui a valu à son leader charismatique Alvin Lee d'apparaître comme un nouveau "guitar hero" et de trouver sa juste place entre Jimi Hendrix et Eric Clapton. Enregistré en février 1970, entre la grand-messe pop de Woodstock et la sortie de Cricklewood Green, considéré comme l'œuvre maîtresse du groupe, Live at the Fillmore East 1970 restitue fidèlement l'extraordinaire pouvoir qu'Alvin Lee et les siens exerçaient sur les foules. Blues, rock et psychédélisme, c'est dans ce mariage des genres que le quartette a puisé son inspiration pour offrir à son public des hymnes tels que "I'm Going Home" et "Love Like A Man". Sur la scène du temple new-yorkais de Bill Graham, les reprises de "Sweet Little Sixteen" et de "Spoonful" des mentors Chuck Berry et Willie Dixon sont, elles aussi, chargées d'un lourd symbole.
